Throughout the summer our maple trees take the sunlight, rain, and nutrients from the soil to create a sweet sap that sustains the tree. Then in the fall, it stores this sap preparing for the long cold winter months.
For a few weeks in the spring, when the conditions are just right, the sweet sap flows through the tree. It is then that we collect a small amount of its sap and turn it into delicious PURE maple syrup.
The sap is gathered from the trees and placed into an evaporator, the evaporator concentrates the sugars and trace minerals collected from the tree by boiling off excess water. It takes about 40 gallons of sap to produce 1 gallon of PURE maple syrup.
The finished syrup is then filtered through a filter press to remove any impurities before it is put into a bottle and readied for sale.
After the syrup, is filtered it goes through many checks to make sure it is perfect for your family and ours. We check for density, purity, and flavor only then is it put into our special PURE bottles and is ready for your table.
